Ministry of Information and Culture Reviews Signage and Advertising Boards in Kabul’s Third District
The Commission for the Reform of Signage and Advertising Boards, under the Deputy Ministry for Publications Affairs of the Ministry of Information and Culture, inspected signs and advertising boards in Kabul’s Third District as part of its ongoing field activities. The inspection covered the area from Golai Dawakhana to Shaheed Intersection.
At the outset, Sayed Mahmood Wakman, a representative of the Academy of Sciences, briefed local traders, shopkeepers and business owners on the commission’s activities and objectives.
Commission members subsequently inspected the signage and advertising boards throughout the area and recommended improvements to a number of signs that did not meet the required standards.
Local traders, shopkeepers and business owners welcomed the recommendations and pledged to cooperate fully with the commission in improving signage and advertising boards to help preserve and promote Afghanistan’s cultural heritage.
More than 200 signs and advertising boards were inspected during the programme.
