Meeting Held to Strengthen the Implementation of Decree No. 17 of the Supreme Leader
A high-level meeting was held in Farah Province to discuss ways to further the implementation of Decree No. 17 issued by the Supreme Leader (May Allah protect him). The session was attended by the Deputy Minister for Publications Affairs at the Ministry of Information and Culture, Mr. Muhajir Farahi, along with senior representatives of Emirate institutions, respected religious scholars, tribal elders, and youth representatives.
At the start, officials from the Farah Directorate of Information and Culture spoke on the importance of the decree, stressing that the eradication of harmful social practices is a shared responsibility requiring active involvement from all parts of society.
Deputy Minister Mr. Muhajir Farahi emphasized the importance of fostering coordinated efforts between religious scholars and community elders. He highlighted the need to establish a formal framework or agreement dedicated to systematically addressing and eliminating harmful traditions. He pointed out that such collaborative mechanisms would greatly help sustain social reform.
Mr. Farahi also called on all citizens to work together for the successful implementation of the Supreme Leader’s decrees and to actively participate in the nation’s rebuilding and long-term development.
Stressing institutional commitment, he said that the leadership of the Islamic Emirate stays attentive to all sectors and is strongly committed to protecting national stability and public well-being. He reaffirmed that no individual or group will be allowed to undermine the country’s security or harm its people.
He also mentioned that the Islamic Emirate maintains a measured and strategic patience in its external relations while being fully prepared to defend the rights and dignity of its people when needed.
During the meeting, other speakers reaffirmed their full support for initiatives aimed at removing harmful customs. They acknowledged the progress since the re-establishment of the Islamic Emirate and emphasized the importance of ongoing cooperation between government bodies and the public to address remaining issues.
