Minister of Information and Culture Visits Maidan Wardak Province
On the 4th of Safar 1448 AH, during an official visit to Maidan Wardak Province, the Minister of Information and Culture, Sheikh Shair Ahmad Haqqani, toured various departments of the Provincial Directorate of Information and Culture to review its activities and ongoing initiatives.
During the visit, Minister Haqqani described the establishment of the Mujahid Museum as one of the Directorate's most significant achievements. He emphasized that the museum serves as an important institution for preserving the history of Afghanistan's jihad and passing it on to future generations, while also playing a vital role in safeguarding the country's historical and cultural heritage.
The Minister also commended the Directorate's efforts and achievements in fulfilling its responsibilities and expressed appreciation for the progress made across its various sectors. To further strengthen service quality and institutional performance, he provided the Directorate's officials with a number of recommendations. He also reaffirmed the Ministry's full commitment to supporting the completion of the remaining work on the Maidan Wardak Public Library.
Meanwhile, the Director of Information and Culture for Maidan Wardak Province, Mawlawi Habibullah Mujahid, welcomed the Minister and briefed him on the Mujahid Museum. He explained that the museum had been established despite limited resources and consists of four sections, housing archaeological artifacts, military equipment used by the mujahideen, manuscripts of rare historical books, and memorial items dedicated to the martyrs, including a register of their names.
