Deputy Minister of Arts and Culture Visits Historic Minarets and Cultural Sites in Ghazni City
Mawlawi Atiqullah Azizi, the Deputy Minister of Arts and Culture at the Ministry of Information and Culture, made an official visit to the historic minarets and surrounding heritage sites near the revered shrine in Ghazni City.
Accompanied by senior officials from the Ghazni Department of Information and Culture, the Deputy Minister carefully examined the condition of the monuments and received a detailed briefing on the challenges and preservation needs from local authorities.
Mawlawi Azizi reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to protecting and restoring historical sites, emphasizing that, under the directive of the esteemed Amir al-Mu’minin (may Allah protect him), safeguarding Afghanistan’s cultural heritage is a national duty. He also stated that all historical landmarks remain fully preserved and secure under the Ministry’s oversight.
Additionally, the Deputy Minister promised to expedite the completion of the protective boundary wall around the minaret complex. He assured local authorities that all outstanding issues would be resolved quickly, ensuring the site is fully secured and ready to welcome both local and international visitors.
This visit highlights the Ministry’s ongoing commitment to preserving Afghanistan's rich cultural heritage and promoting sustainable heritage tourism throughout the country.
