Consultative Meeting Held to Discuss Commemoration of 24 Asad Victory Day
A consultative meeting of the designated committee was held under the chairmanship of Mawlawi Atiqullah Azizi, Deputy Minister for Art and Culture at the Ministry of Information and Culture, to discuss preparations for the commemoration of 24 Asad (Victory Day). The meeting was attended by representatives of various government institutions.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister Azizi spoke about the significance of 24 Asad (Victory Day) and emphasized that the occasion should be commemorated in a dignified and memorable manner, with broad public participation.
Subsequently, Mawlawi Mohajer Farahi, Deputy Minister for Publications Affairs, along with other members of the committee, shared their views and presented a range of constructive recommendations and proposals concerning the observance of the occasion.
Committee members noted that the country’s freedom is a collective achievement of the Afghan nation and stressed that commemorating this day aims to convey the sacrifices, resilience, and heroism to future generations. They also highlighted the importance of keeping future generations informed about the twenty-year struggle and achievements of the Afghan nation and resistance against foreign occupation.
The meeting concluded with a decision that all relevant institutions should prepare and present their respective plans, initiatives, and proposals at the next session to ensure the effective and meaningful commemoration of 24 Asad.
