Book Reading week was celebrated by Department of Information and Culture of Nangarhar

Yesterday, The Department of Information and Culture and “Minbar” Scientific and Cultural Society celebrated Book Reading Week in “Eidgah” public library during a meeting, in which university professors, Tribal leaders, Youth and Book Readers participated.
At the beginning of the meeting, the head of the “Minbar” Scientific Association, Ustad Rafiullah, spoke and said that study is the source of progress and development of nations, study is the essence of consciousness and awakening in a nation and its people.
Afterwards, Ustad Abdul Rahim Saraf talked about the importance of studying books and said that the real reason for countries being backwards is not studying and reading books.
After that, the Manager of Culture of the Department of Information and Culture, Syed Amrullah Amid, talked about the causes and solutions of the weak study culture in the society.
Similarly, Ziauddin Hamatmal, the person in charge of the said library, said that there should be no time limit for libraries and no official time should be set for them. He added that hundreds of people come to our public library to study.
It is worth noting that the songs and poems prepared by some poets were also presented to the participants.
