The Director of Information and Culture of Takhar Province met with the Representatives of the Aga Khan Foundation

Yesterday, the Director of Information and Culture of Takhar province, Maulvi Zabihullah Ansari, met with the representatives of Aga Khan Foundation, Mohammad Asif Khademi, Ahmad Naveed Noori and Mohammad Zakir Sarwari in his office in order to attract tourists to the said province.
Mr. Ansari said: “Takhar province is considered one of the rich provinces of Afghanistan with many historical and recreational places, such as Khosda Farkhar Chaman, old city fountain in Talaqan, Yghnan of Worsaj for visiting foreign and domestic tourists. There are the pond, the Rostaq Turkan spring, the Sulaiman Takht of Kulfgan, the Dasht Qala Ai Khanum and dozens of other places, which have been visited by thousands of tourists so far.”
He added; “To attract tourist to Takhar province, it is necessary to build roads between historical places, build hotels for tourists and build fish farms.”
The representatives of the Aga Khan Foundation appreciated the efforts of the Department of Information and Culture in the field of protecting, restoring and attracting tourists to historical monuments and recreational places.
It is worth noting that after the coming of I.E.A, due to the sovereignty and overall security in the country, thousands of tourists from America, Japan, Greece, Iran and Pakistan have come to Takhar province to visit historical and recreational places.
