Large Public Awareness Gathering Held in Nimroz to Support Implementation of the 17th Decree
A large public awareness gathering was convened in Nimroz to support the effective implementation of the 17th decree of His Excellency the Amir al-Mu’minin (may Allah preserve him).
The event was organized by the Deputy Ministry for Publications Affairs of the Ministry of Information and Culture in Nimroz. It brought together Mr. Muhajir Farahi, Deputy Minister for Publications Affairs; officials from Emirate institutions; respected religious scholars; tribal elders; neighborhood representatives (wakils of gozars); youth; and representatives from various segments of society.
At the outset, the Head of the Nimroz Department of Information and Culture welcomed participants and expressed satisfaction at the gathering held under the framework of an Islamic system. He emphasized the importance of implementing the 17th decree, particularly in preventing inappropriate customs associated with occasions such as celebrations, mourning, and the return from Hajj and Umrah, and in promoting their elimination from society.
Mr. Muhajir Farahi underscored the importance of ensuring the proper implementation of the decrees and directives of His Excellency the Amir al-Mu’minin (may Allah preserve him). He called on all participants to give this matter due attention and to actively contribute to raising public awareness, to eliminate harmful practices and strengthen adherence to Islamic principles within society.
Mawlawi Najibullah Badakhshi, Deputy Governor of Nimroz, delivered a comprehensive address highlighting the importance of implementing official decrees and the necessity of obedience to the Amir. He stated that all officials and citizens are obliged to comply with the orders and directives of the Amir al-Mu’minin (may Allah preserve him), noting that obedience to Allah Almighty, the Prophet (peace be upon him), and those in authority is a religious obligation. He further emphasized that the governing framework is based on Islamic law and that the Amir is a legitimate leader; therefore, his decrees, as foundational elements of the Islamic system, must be fully observed.
The Head of the Department of Guidance, Hajj, and Endowments also addressed the gathering, outlining the responsibilities of religious scholars and the role of the department. He emphasized the importance of scholars providing public awareness on the decrees of His Excellency the Amir al-Mu’minin (may Allah preserve him), particularly the 17th decree, in order to prevent harmful customs.
The gathering concluded with a closing prayer delivered by the Head of the Department of Foreign Affairs in Nimroz.
