Virtual Meeting Between Afghanistan’s Deputy Minister of Arts and Culture and Qatari Museum Officials

On Thursday, March 20, 2025 (20th Ramadan 1446), Mawlawi Atiqullah Azizi, the Deputy Minister of Arts and Culture at the Ministry of Information and Culture, held a virtual meeting with Mohammed Al-Rumaihi, Executive Director of Qatar Museums, and Sheikha Al-Nasr, Director of the Museum of Islamic Art. The discussion centered on the upcoming international exhibition of historical artifacts in Qatar.
During the meeting, Mr. Al-Rumaihi shared insights into the exhibition's goals and officially requested the inclusion of a collection of Afghanistan’s historical artifacts in the display. He assured that all artifacts would be transported in strict accordance with international standards and safety protocols, emphasizing that careful measures would be taken to ensure their security and preservation.
Deputy Minister Azizi welcomed the initiative, reaffirming Afghanistan’s commitment to collaborating on this cultural project. He stressed that the exhibition would play a vital role in preserving Afghanistan’s cultural heritage while showcasing its historical treasures to a global audience. He further noted that this opportunity would attract international attention, fostering a deeper appreciation for Afghanistan’s rich history and civilization.
Additionally, Mr. Azizi pointed out that Afghanistan’s participation in Qatar’s International Exhibition of Historical Artifacts would significantly enhance the promotion of its tourism sector.
