On Monday (17th of Dhul-Qa‘dah 1447 AH), the Ministry of Information and Culture’s Book Evaluation Commission held its regular session under the leadership of the Deputy Minister for Publications Affairs, Mr. Muhajir Farahi.
At the outset of the meeting, the Commission’s Secretary presented a report on the previous session. The Commission’s activities and achievements were reviewed and positively assessed.
During the session, several books were carefully reviewed, and those aligned with Islamic and Afghan values were approved for publication. In addition, 485 volumes covering 66 titles, both imported and exported, were examined, and appropriate decisions were made. The publications of Al-Furqan Publishing House and matters related to the printing of the Holy Qur’an by Ahmad Samadi Printing Press were also discussed, and necessary decisions were taken.
Furthermore, the deputy minister for Publications Affairs provided guidance and recommendations on the evaluation, authorship, and publication of books, and several important decisions were reached.
It is worth noting that five referred volumes were distributed among Commission members for further review, with the expectation that their findings will be presented at the next session.
