The Signage and Advertisement Reform Commission, operating under the Deputy Ministry for Publications of the Ministry of Information and Culture, carried out a field inspection of signage and advertising displays within the education sector area of Kabul’s Fifth District as part of its ongoing activities.

At the outset of the visit, a cultural representative of Kabul Municipality called on residents and business owners to cooperate with the commission in the regulation and improvement of their signage. He stressed that the text and content of all signs must be developed in full compliance with the commission’s approved guidelines and standards.

He further underscored the importance of prioritizing national languages in signage and advertising, noting that proper regulation in this sector plays a vital role in preserving cultural identity, promoting national languages, and enhancing the city’s visual landscape.

Members of the commission expressed their appreciation for the cooperation of the public and reaffirmed their commitment to working collaboratively to ensure the development of standardized, well-organized signage aligned with Islamic and cultural values.

During the inspection, a total of 89 signs and advertising boards were reviewed.
