UNAMA Special Advisor Visits Public Libraries

Izzat Mohammad, a special advisor from the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), visited the Directorate of Public Libraries within the Ministry of Information and Culture. He was joined by Hafiz Nematullah Muntazir, the Director of Public Libraries; Shafiq Ahmadzai, the Head of Foreign Relations at the Ministry; and an advisor from the Deputy Ministry of Arts and Culture.

 During the visit, they discussed important topics such as organizing literary events to support writers, hosting national and international exhibitions, the media's role in promoting a reading culture, and ways to strengthen long-term cooperation with the Directorate of Public Libraries.

At the end of the visit, the UNAMA Special Advisor toured two newly renovated halls of the Central Public Library. These renovations were funded by the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA).
