Turkey is steadfast in its commitment to safeguarding Afghanistan's cultural heritage

The Deputy Minister of Arts and Culture, Mevlevi Atiqullah Azizi, met with Fazel Akin Erdoğan, the head of the Turkish State Coordination and Cooperation Agency (TIKA) in his office.

 During the meeting, Mr. Akin, the head of the TIKA Foundation, presented information about the organization's activities. He added that TIKA will expand its cooperation in the field of restoring Afghan historical monuments and equipping the national archives, conservatories, and public libraries based on the cultural commonalities and long-standing friendship between Turks and Afghans.

 The head of the TIKA Foundation also mentioned that work would be done soon after the survey of the madrassa and khanga of Maulana Jalaluddin Mohammad Balkhi according to its development and cultural programs.

 Deputy Minister of Arts and Culture Mawlawi Atiqullah Azizi thanked the organization for its effective activities and added that Turkey has always helped Afghanistan in development and cultural activities.
