Scientific Seminar on “How to Become a Writer?” Held
The Directorate of Public Libraries of the Ministry of Information and Culture organized a scientific seminar entitled “How to Become a Writer?” in its conference hall, attended by dozens of writers, university students, and school students.
The seminar aimed to familiarize participants with the principles and techniques of effective writing, enhance their writing competencies and literary creativity, introduce the key stages of becoming a successful author, and provide practical guidance on the production and publication of written works.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Rafiullah Samim, Director of Public Libraries, highlighted the Directorate’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the intellectual and academic capacities of writers and young people through the organization of educational and scientific programs. He encouraged participants, particularly aspiring writers and reading enthusiasts, to make full use of the library’s scholarly resources and to share their suggestions for further improving library services and activities.
The seminar was delivered by the distinguished Afghan author, Qari Abdul Sattar Saeed, who shared valuable insights on the significance of writing, the enduring value of the written word, and the critical role of reading in intellectual and personal development. He also provided a comprehensive overview of the stages of authorship, the principles of spelling and composition, and effective note-taking techniques.
Throughout the seminar, participants gained practical knowledge and a deeper understanding of the methods and skills necessary to strengthen their writing abilities and advance their literary development.
