A Book Reading Competition was held in Parwan Province

On Tuesday (27th of February, 2023), the Department of Information and Culture of Parwan province, in cooperation with the Department of Education, held a book reading competition between 300 young people from Shinwar and Siyagard districts in Siyagerd district.
Atiqullah Safi, Manager of Culture and Tourism of the Department of Information and Culture, said: “The purpose of this competition is to popularize the culture of reading books in the society, to give intellectual training to young people, and to build the mindset of young people against intellectual war. The said competition was prepared from the book (The Beliefs of Ahl al-Sunnah wal Jamaat) which was given to the participants of the competition 20 days ago.”
According to Mr. Safi; More than 300 youth from Shinwar and Seyagerd districts took part in the competition, which shows the love of the youth to reading.
The participants of the competition called the creation of such programs useful in terms of mental development and mental development of the youth and requested to hold other competitions.
