An academic and cultural seminar titled “The Role of Media in an Islamic Society” was held at the Herat Provincial Governor’s Office. The event was attended by the Governor of the province, Al-Haj Sheikh Islam Jar, representatives from the Directorate of Information and Culture, media officials, and journalists.

During the seminar, the Governor emphasized the Islamic Emirate's comprehensive support for the media. He called on journalists to enhance their efforts in line with the principles of Islamic Sharia, aiming to strengthen Islamic and national values, reinforce national unity, and contribute to the country’s economic development.

Representatives from the Directorate of Information and Culture also highlighted the media's crucial role in promoting public awareness, strengthening Islamic values, preserving unity, and preventing the spread of misinformation. They urged journalists to prioritize Islamic values and the public interest when disseminating news.
