Minister Safi Urges Children, Elders to Joint Book-Reading

 The Acting Minister of Information and Culture, Ms. Hasina Safi, while paying a visit to the Public Library, urged for the children, teenagers and elders to pay attention to book reading, BNA reported the other day.
During the visit, while the deputy cultural minister, Prof. Mohammad Rasul Bawary was accompanying, the related officials shared their problems with her, according to the agency.
She said the bookmen should draw attention of the children, teenagers and the elders towards book reading through making various effective programs, in order to encourage the visitors, the agency quoted.  “This itself will help improvement of book reading culture in the country,” she reiterated. The acting minister assured to meet the needs of the public library.
Currently up to 100,000 scientific, cultural, literature and historical books are kept and used at the country’s biggest public library.
