A meeting of the Supreme Council of Languages was convened under the leadership of the deputy Minister of Art and Culture

On Monday (20th of Rabi al-Awwal 1446), a regular meeting of the Supreme Council of Languages was held under the leadership of Mawalvi Atiqullah Azizi, the Deputy Minister of Art and Culture. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Higher Education, the Ministry of Education, scientific and educational institutes, and representatives of about 30 languages and dialects of the resident nationalities and tribes of the country.
During the meeting, Moulvi Atiqullah Azizi, Deputy Minister of Art and Culture, expressed gratitude to the council members for their efforts in the development of the country’s languages. He emphasized that all tribes and languages of the country have the right to work for growth and prosperity as language is an essential part of a nation’s identity.
Mr. Azizi also highlighted the Islamic Emirate’s policy, stating that all tribes and languages of the country are Valued equally. He emphasized the importance of promoting all languages spoken in the country. As a first step, he proposed that scientific and educational institutions collaborate to create and publish a guide providing information about marginalized languages and their current status in the country. This guide would help the new generation understand the needs and identify areas that require attention. Additionally, he encouraged all members to engage in scientific and comprehensive discussions to make decisions on the meeting agenda.
