Media Complaints and Violations Review Commission Holds Regular Session
Sunday, 25 Dhul-Hijjah 1446 AH The Ministry of Information and Culture convened a regular session of the Media Complaints and Violations Review Commission, chaired by Mr. Mohajir Farahi, Deputy Minister for Publications.
Commission members discuss various matters related to media regulation, address ongoing complaints, and exchange views on enforcement and oversight strategies.
In his opening remarks, Deputy Minister Farahi reflected on the progress made in previous sessions and reviewed the implementation status of earlier decisions. He emphasized the importance of resolving complaints promptly and upholding media ethics.
Each commission member presented their assigned investigation reports, offering updates and findings on specific cases referred to them for review.
Among the key points on the agenda was the review of newly submitted complaints and operational concerns. The commission also addressed an official petition submitted by Jahan Radio & Television. To facilitate resolution, a dedicated subcommittee was appointed to examine the case and recommend an appropriate course of action.]
Additionally, the commission discussed the operational status of Rah-e-Farda Television, evaluating the matter in light of a recent judicial ruling concerning the network.
