Deputy Minister of Publications Meets with Acting Head of UNAMA Public Affairs Division

Tuesday, 12th Muharram 1447 AH  Mr. Muhajir Farahi, Deputy Minister for Publications at the Ministry of Information and Culture, held an official meeting with Ms. Julia Alino, the Acting Head of the Public Affairs Division at the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA), in his office.

During the meeting, Ms. Alino briefed the deputy minister on UNAMA’s current initiatives, emphasizing their active work in areas like public health, education, higher education, and environmental protection. She expressed UNAMA’s desire to expand collaboration with the Ministry, especially in promoting reading, public awareness campaigns, and training programs for journalists.

In response, Mr. Farahi confirmed the Ministry’s full support to help carry out effective initiatives led by international organizations, as long as they align with the core policies and values of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan. He stressed that all foreign-led programs must be carried out in close cooperation with relevant Emirate institutions to ensure cultural consistency and protect national interests.

Ms. Alino assured the Deputy Minister that UNAMA’s Public Affairs Division is dedicated to transparency and coordination, and that all its activities will be implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Information and Culture and other government agencies.
