A cultural program organized to encourage poets and writers

In a collaborative effort, the Ministry of Information and Culture, the UNAMA office, and the ESA organization jointly organized a cultural program at the Public Library to support and encourage poets and writers.
The event was attended by Mawlawi Atiqullah Azizi, Deputy Minister for Arts and Culture; Hafiz Nematullah Muntaẓir, Director of Public Libraries; Shafiq Ahmadzai, Director of Foreign Relations at the Ministry of Information and Culture; and a large number of poets, writers, and literary figures.
At the beginning of the event, Hafiz Nematullah Muntaẓir welcomed the guests and emphasized that the Public Libraries Directorate is committed to providing necessary facilities and support for writers and poets.
Following this, UNAMA representative Ms. Elisa spoke about the significance of literature and culture, stressing that art and literature play an essential role in shaping society.
Mawlawi Atiqullah Azizi highlighted the importance of poetry and literature and reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to supporting writers and poets, particularly in the areas of publishing and distributing books.
Meanwhile, Shafiq Ahmadzai also spoke about the value of poetry and called on international organizations to assist the ministry in promoting literary and cultural initiatives. The program concluded with poets and writers reciting their works, which were warmly received by the audience.
