Book Evaluation Commission Holds Regular Session
on Monday (19 Safar al-Muzaffar 1448 AH) The Book Evaluation Commission, operating under the Deputy Ministry for Publications Affairs of the Ministry of Information and Culture, held its regular session under the chairmanship of Mohajer Farahi, Deputy Minister for Publications Affairs.
During the session, the Commission reviewed several books and approved those found to align with Islamic and Afghan values for publication.
The Commission also evaluated 29 books, across 26 titles, that were imported and exported. In addition, 10 previously referred books were distributed among Commission members for further assessment, with their findings to be presented at the Commission's next session.
The meeting also addressed legal issues involving a number of publishers, alongside requests to reduce the cost of paper, ink, book covers and other essential materials used in the printing and publishing industry. Following deliberations, the Commission adopted the necessary decisions on these matters.
At the conclusion of the session, Mohajer Farahi, Deputy Minister for Publications Affairs, presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Mawlawi Abdul Naser Raqib, representative of the Ministry of Guidance, Hajj and Endowments, in recognition of his valuable contributions and dedicated cooperation as a member of the Book Evaluation Commission.
