The Baghlan Department of Archealogy Discovered 37 Ancient Sites in the Province
Today, Monday (2023/6/12), a professional team of the Department of Archeology, which was sent to Baghlan Province under the direction of the Ministry of Information and Culture, discovered 37 ancient sites in six districts of the province.
Moulvi Izat Mir Haqqani, the Manager of Tourism of Baghlan Department of Information and Culture, says that the professional staff of the Department of Archeology, in cooperation with the Department of Information and Culture of Baghlan, in the districts of Khost, Gazargah Noor, Farang, Nahrin, Central Baghlan and Pulkhumri, 37 ancient and historical sites have been discovered.
Gul Ahmed Azimi, a professional member of the Department of Archeology, who went to Baghlan province for this purpose, says that the ancient and historical areas found belong to the Kushan and Islamic periods.
At the same time, Khalil Anuri, commander of the “012” unit for the Protection of Ancient and Historical areas in Baghlan province, says that we will not allow anyone to carry out excavations in this province or try to destroy cultural areas.
