Nangarhar Department of Information and Culture returned 42 items to their original owners
Nangarhar Museum General Manager Qari Zainatullah Zhirak says that a few months ago, Nangarhar Police Headquarters seized some items, including brass dresses, copper bangles, brass bowls, swords, various kinds of money, etc., and then handed over to the Information and Culture Department of Nangarhar Province.
Zhirak said, after the investigation by the experts of historical artifacts, it was found that these items are not historical. For this reason, they were returned to their original owners.
Mr. Zhirak adds that the Department of Information and Culture requests all citizens to fulfill their Afghan and Islamic responsibilities in preventing the smuggling of historical artifacts, since historical monuments are the common wealth and common heritage of all Afghans, therefore we all have a common responsibility in order to protect them.
