150 Young People Graduate from Freelancing Training Programme
on Sunday, 28 Rabi al-Thani 1448 AH, The Ministry of Information and Culture’s Directorate of Youth Affairs, with financial support from Islamic Relief, has completed a three-month freelancing training programme for 150 young people in Kabul and Balkh provinces.
The graduation ceremony was held to mark the completion of the programme. Each graduate received a laptop computer at the ceremony.
The event was attended by Sayed Mohammad Dawood Agha, Director of Youth Affairs; Mohammad Zulqarnain Abbas, Head of Islamic Relief in Afghanistan; Sayed Mohammad Kabir Wyar, the organization’s Training Programmes Officer; officials from the Ministry of Information and Culture; and the programme graduates.
Speaking at the ceremony, Sayed Mohammad Dawood Agha appreciated Islamic Relief and other organizations for their cooperation in helping young people develop their academic and professional skills. He said the ministry is committed to creating more opportunities for young people to improve their knowledge and abilities. He added that the ministry had signed cooperation agreements with various organizations to provide training opportunities for young people.
He encouraged the graduates to make good use of the opportunities available to them and continue developing their skills. He also called on the participating organizations to support similar training programmes in the future.
Mohammad Zulqarnain Abbas, Head of Islamic Relief in Afghanistan, expressed appreciation for the cooperation and coordination of the Directorate of Youth Affairs in delivering the programme. He said Islamic Relief had provided various training opportunities for young people in different provinces and planned to continue implementing similar programmes.
Sayed Mohammad Kabir Wyar, the organization’s Training Programmes Officer, said the three-month programme provided freelancing training to 150 young people, including 50 in Balkh Province and 100 in Kabul Province.
Speaking on behalf of the graduates, one participant thanked the Ministry of Information and Culture and Islamic Relief for providing the training and called for similar programmes to be offered in other provinces.
