Meetings held with Representatives of Tourism and Pilgrimage Company Associations
on Sunday, 28 Rabi al-Thani 1448, Mawlawi Qudratullah Jamal, Deputy Minister for Tourism, Finance and Administration at the Ministry of Information and Culture, held a meeting at his office with representatives of tourism and pilgrimage company associations from various provinces across the country.
During the meeting, the representatives shared their concerns and proposals regarding the process of obtaining operating licences for tourism and pilgrimage companies. They stated that the companies were committed to complying with all relevant rules and regulations and carried out their activities in accordance with established principles and policies.
Mawlawi Qudratullah Jamal assured the representatives that efforts would be made to resolve their problems and address their proposals. He said a commission comprising representatives from eight ministries had been established to assess and resolve the challenges faced by tourism and pilgrimage companies. He added that the necessary facilities had been provided to facilitate the process of obtaining operating licences.
Deputy Minister further stated that unlawful activities by tourism companies had been prevented. He added that companies with a long record of operations and good service, as certified by their respective associations, would be issued renewed three-year operating licences. He also emphasized that the Ministry of Information and Culture fully cooperated with all tourism companies and addressed their concerns and proposals in a timely manner.
The meeting also covered the duration and cost of operating licences for tourism and pilgrimage companies, along with several other related issues.
