Cultural Gathering and Traditional Black Pine Nut Festival Held in Alasay District

On 8 Rabi’ al-Thani 1448 AH A cultural coordination meeting and a traditional festival known as Jalghoza-e-Siah (Black Pine Nut) were held in Alasay District of Kapisa Province, organized by the Kapisa Directorate of Information and Culture to showcase local products and help create market opportunities for them.
Sheikh Abdul Rahman Tayebi, Deputy Minister for Culture and Arts at the Ministry of Information and Culture, attended the event alongside a number of officials from provincial government institutions, as well as poets and cultural figures.
During the gathering, participating poets recited their poetry, while speakers emphasized the importance of promoting local products, supporting domestic production, strengthening the rural economy and creating market opportunities for locally produced goods.
Residents of Alasay District welcomed the organization of the festival and called on officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan to introduce modern methods for harvesting black pine nuts. They said this would help prevent damage to the trees while also improving the quality and economic value of the product.
