Coordination Meeting Held with YouTubers to Enhance Media Coverage of 24 Asad.

Mawlawi Muhajir Farahi, Deputy Minister for Publications Affairs at the Ministry of Information and Culture, led a coordination meeting with YouTubers to improve media coverage of the 24 Asad (Victory Day) ceremonies.

Participants included Mawlawi Safiullah Raed, Director of Social Media Monitoring; Qari Habib Ghufran, Director of Public Relations and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Information and Culture; government officials; and YouTubers.

At the outset, Mawlawi Safiullah Raed welcomed the participants and said that 24 Asad is the Independence Day of the Afghan people and should be commemorated through well-organized and meaningful programs. He called on YouTubers to properly fulfill their responsibilities towards the Islamic system and Islamic values.

Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister for Publications Affairs Mawlawi Muhajir Farahi described Victory Day as the result of the sacrifices and steadfast efforts of the Afghan people and Mujahideen. He said that Afghanistan had been occupied by foreign forces for many years and that, as a result of the struggles and sacrifices made, 24 August was established as the country’s Independence Day.

Mawlawi Farahi stressed that everyone has a responsibility to ensure the proper commemoration of this important day. He added that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has made significant achievements in various sectors over the past five years and that these achievements should be widely communicated and highlighted through the media and social media platforms.

According to the Deputy Minister, Afghanistan’s enemies have consistently sought to create division and discord among the people. However, he said that following the return of the Islamic Emirate to power, greater opportunities have been created for strengthening unity and cohesion among the people.

Meanwhile, Qari Habib Ghufran, Director of Public Relations and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Information and Culture, said that genuine national independence is achieved when a country’s fundamental decisions are not dependent on other countries. He added that, over the past 20 years, various sectors of Afghan society had been subject to the influence of foreign countries.

Qari Ghufran described 24 Asad as an important day in Afghanistan’s contemporary history and stressed the shared responsibility of the people in safeguarding the Islamic system. He called on YouTubers to produce and disseminate public-awareness and media programs on the occasion, highlighting the achievements of the Islamic system and raising awareness about the importance of the country’s independence.

The participating YouTubers also shared their views, suggestions, and challenges with the officials and called for such coordination meetings to be held on a regular basis.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Deputy Minister for Publications Affairs assured the participants that their suggestions and concerns would be duly addressed.
