Book Evaluation Commission Holds Regular Session
On Monday, 1 Dhul-Hijjah 1447 AH, the Book Evaluation Commission of the Deputy Ministry for Publications Affairs at the Ministry of Information and Culture convened its regular session.
At the outset of the meeting, the Commission’s Secretary presented a report on the previous session. Members then engaged in discussions on a range of agenda items and adopted the necessary decisions.
During the session, evaluation reports for ten books representing various titles were presented for review prior to publication. Following comprehensive discussions and an exchange of views among commission members, appropriate decisions were taken regarding each submission.
The Commission also reviewed a number of printed advertisements related to Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). After careful examination, the materials were approved.
In addition, members discussed a book authored by a local writer, which received positive recognition and appreciation from the Commission.
At the conclusion of the meeting, seven newly submitted manuscripts and unpublished books were distributed among Commission members for further evaluation, with findings and recommendations to be presented during the next session.
