Afghanistan’s Cultural Attaché Meets with Head of Turkish Red Crescent

Qari Hamidullah Tamkin, the Cultural Attaché of Afghanistan’s Ministry of Information and Culture in Turkey, recently met with Dr. Mehmet Selay, President of the Turkish Red Crescent, to discuss ways to strengthen cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, Mr. Tamkin highlighted the deep cultural and historical ties shared by Afghanistan and Turkey. He stressed the importance of increasing cultural exchanges, academic partnerships, and expanding support for humanitarian efforts in Afghanistan. He also expressed gratitude for the Turkish Red Crescent’s ongoing assistance, calling the organization one of Afghanistan’s most vital and active international partners in humanitarian aid.

Tamkin encouraged the Red Crescent to further support cultural programs, educational institutions, and to provide more aid to orphans and those impacted by war and natural disasters.

Dr. Selay reaffirmed the Turkish Red Crescent’s commitment to aiding the Afghan people. He emphasized that Turkey has always supported Afghanistan and will continue to do so. He also expressed optimism that cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two nations will grow even stronger in the future.
