Ministry of Information and Culture Directorate of Youth Affairs Signs Cooperation Agreements with 30 Private Universities to Expand Educational Opportunities for Youth

Tuesday, 6 Safar 1448 AH: The Directorate of Youth Affairs, operating under the General Directorate for the Preservation of Jihadi Values and Historical Heritage of the Ministry of Information and Culture, signed cooperation agreements with 30 private universities on Tuesday, 6 Safar 1448 AH, to provide tuition discounts for students.

The signing ceremony was attended by Mufti Mohammad Tahir Ahmad, Director General of the General Directorate for the Preservation of Jihadi Values and Historical Heritage; senior officials from the Ministry of Information and Culture; representatives of participating private universities; youth representatives; and members of the media.

Addressing the gathering, Mufti Mohammad Tahir Ahmad described the signing of the agreements between the Directorate of Youth Affairs and the private universities as a constructive and commendable initiative. He emphasized that youth play a vital role in the country's development and noted that private universities make a significant contribution to strengthening Afghanistan's youth academic capacity.

He also called on the leadership of private universities to expand educational programs and initiatives to enhance students' academic capabilities. He noted that the Directorate of Youth Affairs is committed to strengthening coordination with the private sector to support youth development, improve academic capacity, and create greater employment opportunities for youth.

During the ceremony, Qari Khubaib Ghufran, Director of Public Relations and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Information and Culture, along with representatives of several private universities, highlighted the important role of youth in society. They stressed that close cooperation and coordination between the government and the private sector are essential to improving young people's educational opportunities and expanding access to employment. They further noted that youth constitute one of the country's most valuable assets and that investing in their education and development directly contributes to the progress and prosperity of society. They also emphasized the importance of sustaining such collaborative initiatives.

The cooperation agreements include the Private Universities Association as well as Mora, Esteqlal, Milli, Hewad, Gharjistan, Ariana, Salam, Afghan Pamir, Sharq, Ashna, Payam, Cheragh, Khana-e-Noor, Razi, Zawol, Ghalib, Fanoos, Kateb, Karwan, Goharshad, Maiwand, Edrak, Khatam Al-Nabieen, Dawat, Rabia Balkhi, Jahan, Bakhtar, Mehman University, and Razi Institute.
