One-Day Book Exhibition Inaugurated in Dasht-e-Barchi, Kabul
on Sunday, 24th of Muharram al-Haram 1447. In continuation of the Kabul Book Festival, the Public Libraries Directorate under the Deputy Ministry of Art and Culture of the Ministry of Information and Culture organized a one-day book exhibition in the Dasht-e-Barchi area of Kabul.
The exhibition was officially inaugurated with the aim of fostering a culture of reading, encouraging citizens especially youth to pursue knowledge through reading, and supporting booksellers by providing them a platform for market access.
Speaking at the event, the Director of Public Libraries, Hafiz Nematullah Muntazir, emphasized the vital role of reading in personal and national development. He encouraged the youth to actively participate in such events, elevate their understanding in various disciplines, and strengthen their reading habits by acquiring and studying diverse books.
Publishing house representatives also expressed their appreciation to the Ministry of Information and Culture for organizing and supporting such literary events. They called for continued facilitation of book exhibitions across the country and advocated for public awareness efforts aimed at promoting reading nationwide.
The exhibition features thousands of religious, political, cultural, and social science books presented by various Afghan publishing organizations. The event is open to the public and will continue throughout the day.
