36 Historical Monuments Registered so far in Badakhshan’

Acting Minister of Information and Culture, Hasina Safi heard report from the director of provincial information and culture of Badakhshan about the directorate activities, BNA reported the other day. Najibullah Saqibyar, the provincial director of information and culture shared his led office's works and activities as saying up to 36 historical monuments have so far been registered among them, 6 restored, the agency said.
He asked the ministry of information and culture for paying attention and repairing of the remaining monuments, particularly the 318-year old Pul-e-Khishti which is at the merge of collapse. Saqibyar also asked the ministry for the repairing of two others historical monuments such as Pir-e-Ghash tomb and historical abbey, which needed immediate restoration, the agency quoted.
Minister Safi praised the provincial information and culture director for its hard work and cultural activities and said cultural sections needed further works and efforts. She also said the ministry would do its best to remove Badakhshan’s cultural problems, according to the agency. According to another report, the acting minister in a separate meeting with the head and members of the Akademiyan social and cultural institute, also expressed the ministry's cooperation and support and said the ministry would cooperate it in holding an exhibition on Exchange of Culture, expected to be held in Kabul.
