همچنین، در بخش حفظ و نگهداری آثار تاریخی، ۴ نهاد ملی و بینالمللی با ریاست حفظ آبدات تاریخی همکاری داشتهاند.
همچنان، ۲۳ آبدهٔ تاریخی در ولایتهای کندهار، بامیان، غزنی، کنر، لغمان، پکتیا، پکتیکا، هلمند و کابل بازسازی شده و کار بازسازی برخی دیگر از آثار تاریخی همچنان ادامه دارد.
