Ministry of Information and Culture Reaffirms Commitment to Protecting Tourist, Historical, and Cultural Sites
On Monday (19th of Shawwal al-Mukarram 1447 AH), Mawlawi Qudratullah Jamal, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Finance, and administrative affairs at the Ministry of Information and Culture, met with tribal elders from Qarghayi District in Laghman Province. He reiterated the Ministry’s commitment to safeguarding the country’s cultural and historical heritage.
During the meeting, the elders expressed their appreciation for the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to preserve and restore tourist, historical, and cultural sites. They emphasized that the people of Qarghayi District continue to cooperate with and support the Islamic Emirate, as they have in the past.
The discussion also allowed the elders to raise concerns and offer practical suggestions about challenges facing key sites in their district.
In his remarks, Mawlawi Jamal highlighted the important role of tribal elders in Afghan society, noting that both community leaders and the general public are vital to the growth of the tourism sector. He stressed that real progress depends on strong cooperation between the government and local communities.
He concluded by assuring participants that their concerns will be taken seriously and addressed, reaffirming the Ministry’s strong commitment to preserving and restoring the nation’s tourist, historical, and cultural assets.
