Graduation Ceremony and Art Exhibition at the Directorate of Arts
On Tuesday (14 Rabi al-Awwal 1447 AH), the Directorate of Arts, under the Deputy Ministry of Art and Culture of the Ministry of Information and Culture, organized a graduation ceremony along with an art exhibition displaying the creative works of teachers and students from the Ghulam Mohammad Maimanagi Center for Arts Education.
The event was attended by Mawlawi Ihsanullah Hassan, director of the minister’s office; the director of the arts directorate; representatives from the Firoz Koh Institute; and a distinguished crowd of artists, miniature painters, calligraphers, painters, teachers, and students.
In his opening remarks, Mufti Mohammad Lal Munib, the Director of the Arts Directorate, warmly welcomed the attendees and highlighted that the leadership of the Islamic Emirate strongly supports artists and promotes art. He assured the audience that the challenges facing artists will be addressed soon.
The Head of the Ghulam Mohammad Maimanagi Educational Center gave an in-depth presentation on the institution's history, noting that more than 700 students are currently enrolled, with 148 successfully graduating this year.
One of the instructors emphasized the important role of art in society, mentioning that it was often overlooked in the past. However, since the return of the Islamic Emirate, art has experienced a revival and is now gaining the recognition and support it deserves.
Speaking on behalf of the graduates, one student expressed sincere gratitude for the free educational opportunities provided by the Arts Directorate. He also called on authorities to establish new classes to expand access and create more opportunities for aspiring young individual artists.
