Book Exhibition Launched in Balkh

Iranian and Afghan publishers launch a book exhibition in Mazar-e-Sharif yesterday.

According to BNA Mati-ul-Rehman Karimi, director of Balkh Information and Culture department said that forty Iranian and Afghan publishers exhibited 27,000 volumes of books in Mazar-e-Sharif for a week.

Mohammad Farhad Azimi, governor of Balkh, called the book exhibition effective for encouraging of reading culture and encouraging young people and students and urged students to read.

Seyed Mohammad Hassan Yahyawi, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Balkh said at the opening of the exhibition that they are doing their best to equip Balkh government libraries.
