LRegular Meeting of the Media Complaints and Violations Review Commission Held
On Sunday, the 29th of Shawwal al-Mukarram, 1446 AH, the Media Complaints and Violations Review Commission held its regular meeting, led by Mr. Mohajer Farahi, the Deputy Minister for Publications at the Ministry of Information and Culture. The meeting was attended by Mawlawi Rahmatullah Nariwal, the Director of the Access to Information Directorate, Hujjatullah Mujaddidi, the head of the Afghanistan Independent Journalists Association, and other commission members.
The session began with Mr. Farahi reviewing the decisions and discussions from previous meetings. Following this, the commission examined complaints submitted by various media organizations. A special committee was formed to address issues facing Jahan Radio, and there were discussions regarding a dispute between Rah-e-Farda Television and its staff.
Additionally, the meeting focused on promoting domestic media through the sharing of commercial advertisements. Several other topics were also discussed, and necessary decisions were made accordingly.
It is important to note that the Media Complaints and Violations Review Commission was established to help address challenges within the media sector. The Commission holds regular meetings with its members, where it reviews submitted complaints, investigates media violations, and issues appropriate decisions.
