ISESCO to Name Kabul as Capital of Islamic Civilization in 2024

 

Chaired by deputy minister of art and culture for information and culture Prof. Mohammad Rasul Bawary, meeting of convening commission for ‘Kabul as Capital of Islamic Civilization’ was held on Thursday. The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) is determined to name Kabul as Capital of Islamic Civilization in 2024. In the meeting, Prof. Bawary spoke and said that it was determined that all cultural and historic heritages of Kabul in the era of Islamic should be introduced. Bawary also said that Kabul Cultural Week in which the city’s cultural and historic aspects were introduced would be soon held. Previously, Ghazni had been named as capital of Islamic civilization by ISESCO.
