Herat Information and Culture Director Meets New Turkish Consul
The Director of Information and Culture for Herat Province, Mawlawi Ahmadullah Muttaqi, held a meeting with the newly appointed Turkish Consul, Mr. Tuzjan Qazioğlu.
During the meeting, Mawlawi Ahmadullah Muttaqi expressed appreciation for the continued support and cooperation of Turkish institutions active in Afghanistan, particularly the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) and the Afghan-Turk Schools. He described Turkey as one of Afghanistan’s closest and most sincere partners, emphasizing the importance of cultural collaboration between the two nations.
Mr. Muttaqi urged the Turkish Consulate to expand cultural programs and joint initiatives further, noting that enhanced cultural exchange would help strengthen bilateral relations and deepen mutual understanding between Afghanistan and Turkey.
The new Turkish Consul in Herat, Mr. Tuzjan Qazioğlu, praised Herat as one of Afghanistan’s most historic and culturally rich cities. He reaffirmed Turkey’s readiness to broaden cultural and social cooperation and to support initiatives that promote shared values and friendship between the two countries.
