Deputy Minister for Publications affairs Meets Journalists and Media Representatives in Baghlan

The Ministry of Information and Culture’s Deputy Minister for Publications, Muhajir Farahi, met with media representatives and journalists in Baghlan Province to discuss the current state of the media sector, as well as the challenges and needs facing journalists and media outlets.
Mawlawi Asadullah Mustafa Hashemi, Director of Information and Culture of Baghlan Province, said that media outlets in the province were operating in coordination with relevant institutions, particularly in disseminating information and promoting public awareness. He added that cooperation between government institutions and the media had also increased.
During the meeting, the provincial representative of the Journalists’ Safety Committee and the head of Tanweer Group, speaking on behalf of journalists, outlined the key challenges and needs facing the media sector. These included access to information, ensuring journalists’ safety while carrying out their professional duties, economic difficulties, and the need to strengthen journalists’ professional capacities.
Farahi thanked journalists and media outlets for their work and emphasized the importance of ensuring journalists’ right to access information and further strengthening cooperation between government institutions and the media.
He said the Ministry of Information and Culture would make every effort to address the challenges faced by journalists and help alleviate the economic difficulties confronting media outlets.
