A coordination meeting was held with the spokespersons of the government agencies in the western zone in Herat province

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Governor of Herat, the deputy minister for publication of the Ministry of Information and Culture, Mawlavi Hayatullah Mohajer Farahi, the head of Bakhtar Agency and the acting deputy minister for publication, Moulavi Zia-ul-Haq Haqmal, the head of access to information, Maulavi Rahmatullah Nariwal, spokespersons and media representatives of the government agencies, university professors, and other participants.

In the beginning, the head of information and culture of Herat province, Maulvi Ahmadullah Muttaqi, welcomed the participants and discussed his opinions on media affairs. Following that, Deputy Governor of Herat Mawlvi Hayatullah Mohajer Farahi, Minister of Information and Culture's Publication Affairs, stated: "The Ministry of Information and Culture supports the media, and the spokespersons of all government agencies are obliged to provide the media with timely information." The media communicates the demands of the people to the government and officials, serving as a vital conduit for factual information between society and the government
It should be noted that the media is not free in neighboring countries. We must acknowledge that we are accountable for our nation, people, and religion; as such, we have to stay away from disseminating ideas that are at odds with them.
Mr. Nariwal, the head of the Department of Access to Information, shared detailed information about access to information, stating that the Department of Access to Information is working to establish coordination between the media, journalists, and government agency spokespersons across the country. After that, the Western Zone government agency press and spokespersons exchanged queries, suggestions, demands, and viewpoints with the authorities. Mawlvi Zia-ul-Haq Hakmal, the head of Bakhtar Agency and acting deputy minister for publication affairs, responded to their questions. and added that the spokespersons should Broaden their understanding, cultivate politeness, and maintain positive relationships with the media.
He continued by saying that the press and spokespersons should take their jobs seriously and that they must accurately reflect the promotion and information; otherwise, our institutions would lose their vibrancy and the quality of service would suffer.
It is worth noting that in the second part of the meeting, a training and educational seminar was held for the spokespersons and press of the government agencies by the teachers of the university.
