The Ministry of Information and Culture conducted a routine meeting of its Book Review Commission, chaired by Deputy Minister for Publications, Mr. Muhajir Farahi, with other members in attendance.
The session began with a report from the previous meeting, followed by a review of the commission’s recent achievements and ongoing projects. Several decisions were made regarding submitted publications. Books that promote Islamic and Afghan cultural values received approval for printing.
Discussions also included designating official publishing locations for licensed publishers, improving coordination between publishing houses and printing presses, and implementing the decree of the Esteemed Amir al-Mu’minin (may Allah protect him) concerning tax exemptions on book publishing.
After the session, newly submitted books pending review were distributed among commission members, who will evaluate them and submit detailed reports at the next scheduled meeting.
