The Award Ceremony for the Year 1404 Cultural and Artistic Prizes Held

On Thursday, 11 Rajab al-Murajjab 1447 AH, the award ceremony for the 1404 Solar Year Cultural and Artistic Competition took place, organized by the Directorate of Public Culture under the Deputy Ministry for Culture and Arts of the Ministry of Information and Culture. The event was attended by Mawlawi Atiqullah Azizi, Deputy Minister for art and culture; Mawlawi Qudratullah Jamal, Deputy Minister for Tourism, Financial, and Administrative Affairs; Mawlawi Ahmadullah Wasiq, Director General of the Olympic, Physical Education, and Sports Authority; as well as several senior officials from the Ministry of Information and Culture, representatives of the cultural and artistic competition, and members of the media.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Hafiz Saif-ur-Rahman Mohammadi, Director of Public Culture, welcomed the attendees and provided information about the cultural and artistic competition. He noted that the competition is held annually at the national level to encourage cultural figures and artists across the country. This year, a total of 518 works were submitted in various categories, including culture, literature, arts, film, theater, journalism, radio, television, and others. According to him, the submitted works were evaluated by a professional jury in accordance with established procedures, and successful participants were honored with various material and moral awards.

Mawlawi Atiqullah Azizi, Deputy Minister for Culture and Arts, congratulated the winners and delivered insightful remarks on the importance of culture and art. He emphasized that culture and art are the living pillars of a nation's intellectual identity and historical continuity, serving as forces that narrate history and reflect the spirit of the age. To this end, the Ministry of Information and Culture organizes cultural and artistic competitions each year to identify and honor cultural figures and artists from all parts of the country.

Mr. Azizi remarked that the strengthening and development of culture and art is a collective responsibility, and the ceremony was organized to recognize cultural figures and artists who, through their pens and intellectual efforts, work to enhance the scientific and cultural capacity of society. He added that this year, the submitted works were evaluated with full integrity and professionalism based on criteria such as content, form, creativity, and more.

At the ceremony, speakers expressed their satisfaction with the organization of the competition and thanked the Ministry of Information and Culture for its efforts to honor cultural figures and artists. They noted that the work of cultural figures and artists serves as guidance for future generations and deserves recognition, as culture and art are fundamental to a nation’s civilization. They emphasized that a society that values these fields is, in fact, striving for sustainable development.

Additionally, the event featured an exhibition of the submitted works, along with a theatrical performance highlighting the value of art.
