Kandahar History House (Museum) Officially Opens to the Public Following Comprehensive Modernization

The Kandahar History House, located within the Directorate of Information and Culture in Kandahar Province, has been comprehensively modernized to meet international museum standards and is now officially open to the public.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by several distinguished guests, including Mawlawi Sebghatullah Abid, Director of the National Museum; Mufti Enamullah Samangani, Director of Information and Culture for Kandahar; and prominent writer Ustad Mohammad Masoom Hotak, along with various authors, academics, representatives of youth, and journalists.
During the ceremony, Mufti Enamullah Samangani welcomed the attendees and emphasized that Kandahar has an ancient and rich history. He noted the importance of establishing a well-equipped and professionally managed museum to preserve this historical legacy. He expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Ministry of Information and Culture, financial supporters from the Afghanistan Cultural Heritage Preservation and Research Organization, and all officials whose tireless efforts contributed to the museum's construction and modernization.
Mawlawi Sebghatullah Abid spoke at the event, highlighting that Kandahar's remarkable historical legacy deserves significant attention and protection. He underscored the collective responsibility to safeguard cultural and historical artifacts and to prevent their illicit trafficking.
Engineer Shir Shah Rashad, a lecturer at Kandahar University, remarked that the unity of nations is strengthened when they preserve their historical values and protect their cultural heritage.
