Turkish Cultural Representative Visits the Directorate of Public Libraries

On Tuesday, the 17th of Shawwal 1446 AH, Mr. Mehmet Emre Alpay, the Turkish cultural representative in Afghanistan, visited the Directorate of Public Libraries, which operates under the Ministry of Information and Culture.

During the visit, Hafiz Nematullah Montazer, the Head of Public Libraries; Shafiq Ahmadzai, the Head of Foreign Relations and Cultural Attaché Affairs of the Ministry; and other directors were present.

Both sides highlighted the importance of strengthening friendly relations between Afghanistan and Turkey, particularly by expanding cooperation in the field of libraries.

Mr. Alpay praised the efforts and activities of the Directorate of Public Libraries and assured Turkey’s continued support. He toured various halls of the library and promised assistance in equipping the newspaper and magazine sections.

At the end of the visit, Mr. Alpay received a collection of books as a gift from the Directorate of Public Libraries.
