At the beginning of the program, Qari Wali Gul Jawad, Head of Cultural Affairs at Kabul Municipality, along with members of the commission, discussed the importance of the area and the procedures for regulating and monitoring billboards and advertisements with media representatives and officials from business associations.
Subsequently, the commission’s operational guidelines and standards were shared in detail with shopkeepers and business owners to help them align their billboards and advertisements with the established criteria.
In addition, professional members of the commission presented alternative wording in the country’s national languages to replace non-standard phrases used in advertisements. Several shopkeepers and business owners also received corrective recommendations to improve their signboards and displays.
Shopkeepers and business owners in the area praised the activities of the commission, describing its efforts as valuable for strengthening national languages and preserving cultural values.
It is worth noting that during this inspection, more than 250 billboards and advertisements were reviewed and corrected.
