Literary Gathering Held at Mawlana Valley Recreational Area in Logar

A literary gathering took place at the Mawlana Valley recreational area in Charkh District, Logar Province. The event was attended by Mawlawi Atiqullah Azizi, the Deputy Minister for Art and Culture at the Ministry of Information and Culture, along with several ministry directors, officials from the Logar provincial administration and Charkh District, tribal elders, youth, writers, and poets.
During the event, Mawlawi Sawab Jan Islamyar, Director of Information and Culture for Logar Province, expressed appreciation for the Ministry of Information and Culture's continued support. He noted that the ministry has given special attention to strengthening cultural activities and supporting the province's cultural community.
Mawlawi Atiqullah Azizi, the Deputy Minister for Art and Culture, addressed the gathering and described Mawlana Valley as one of Afghanistan's most attractive natural places. He highlighted that the valley is the hometown of distinguished scholars, religious figures, historians, and notable personalities from Charkh District. He specifically mentioned Mawlana Yaqub Charkhi, a pride for the Islamic Ummah, and reiterated the ministry's commitment to preserving and further developing the historical and cultural heritage.
On behalf of the local community, tribal elder Malik Abdul Sami expressed pride in participating in the literary gathering alongside other community elders in a peaceful atmosphere. He emphasized the historical, cultural, and recreational significance of Mawlana Valley, spoke about the area's rich literary heritage, and called for additional facilities for visitors, along with improvements to the access road.
Additionally, Sayed Sajad Sadat, a tourist from Herat Province, shared his experience of traveling by motorcycle through 33 provinces and dozens of districts across the country. Encouraged by the prevailing security situation, he visited Mawlana Valley in Charkh District during his latest journey.
The event concluded with poets and anthem performers showcasing their literary and artistic works to the audience. Officials from the Ministry of Information and Culture also tour the viewpoint associated with Mawlana Yaqub Charkhi, as well as the historic monuments of Ghulam Haidar Khan Charkhi and Shah Sahib Mihrab.
