Book Evaluation Commission Holds Regular Meeting

On Monday, 22 Dhul-Hijjah 1447. The regular meeting of the Book Evaluation Commission, operating under the Deputy Ministry for Publications Affairs of the Ministry of Information and Culture, was held 

At the outset of the meeting, the Secretary of the Commission presented a report on the previous session. The Commission’s achievements and activities were reviewed and positively assessed by the members.

During the meeting, decisions were made regarding a number of books submitted for evaluation. Books found to be in compliance with Islamic and Afghan values were granted permission for publication. The Commission also reviewed and evaluated 1,775 imported and exported books comprising 54 different titles.

In addition, books associated with the Javid Hamad Company were assessed, and the necessary decisions were taken in accordance with the Commission’s mandate.

It is noteworthy that 10 referred books were assigned to Commission members for further review, with their findings and recommendations to be presented at the Commission’s next meeting.
