Coordination Meeting Held with Journalists from Kapisa, Panjshir, and Parwan
The Kapisa Directorate of Information and Culture, in cooperation with the Afghanistan Independent Journalists Union, held a coordination meeting in Hesa Awal, Kohistan District, with journalists from government and private media outlets and spokespersons from government institutions in Kapisa, Panjshir, and Parwan provinces.
The meeting was attended by Qari Khubaib Ghufran, spokesperson for the Ministry of Information and Culture; Mufti Abdul Mateen Qani, spokesperson for the Ministry of Interior Affairs; and Hujatullah Mujaddidi, head of the Afghanistan Independent Journalists Union.
Mawlawi Karimullah Wasiq, Director of Information and Culture in Kapisa, said the meeting aimed to strengthen coordination among journalists. He emphasized that effective coordination between journalists and government spokespersons facilitates the professional conduct of journalistic activities.
The spokespersons for the ministries of Information and Culture and Interior Affairs highlighted the media's role in reporting achievements, shaping public opinion, and raising public awareness. They also noted that meetings had been held with relevant institutions to address the technical and economic challenges facing media outlets.
During the meeting, several journalists shared their views and proposals on access to information, support for journalists, and the organization of professional and religious training programs for media workers. The officials expressed their readiness to cooperate in addressing the issues raised.
